DIY Thankful Trivets
All of my pot holders are stained or have little burn marks on them from brushing against the burners so I wanted to make something pretty for our Thanksgiving dinner table. These thankful trivets turned out to be just the thing!
I found these pretty tiles at Home Depot. The larger one measures 9 x 12 and the smaller ones are 6 x 6.
I purchased these great images from the Silhouette Store and cut them out of black vinyl.
I prepped them with the contact paper and transferred them onto the tiles.
I didn't want them sliding around the table so I glued some non-skid foam backing to each of them.
I gave them a coat of varnish because I think it seals the vinyl to the tile and gives them more of a finished look, plus they will wash easier if there are little spills...which there always are.
These would be great as purely decorative and hang them up or display them around your home. It’s very hard to choose but if I had to pick, I think the larger tile is my favorite.
Which is your favorite? Leave your reply in the comments.
