HTV-RONT Auto Heat Press Machine Review

Some of my favorite crafting tools are my heat press machines so I was super excited when I was asked to review the new HTV-RONT Auto Heat Press Machine!

If you’re not sure what a heat press machine is, they allow you to transfer designs onto various fabrics and materials easily and they come in all different shapes and sizes.

Today, we're going to take a closer look at the HTV-RONT Auto Heat Press machine.

I’ve had this machine for a couple of weeks now and have been making all kinds of projects for the shop and my family. I will show you everything further down in the post. Right now I want to give you a quick overview of how to use the Auto Heat Press machine.

Just so you know, I have not found a permanent home for it yet and it’s currently living on my dining room table but I moved it to the kitchen for today’s post.

The HTV-RONT Auto Heat Press machine is incredibly easy to use. Simply plug it in, turn it on, and set the desired temperature and timer settings. It takes less than 5 minutes to heat up and you're ready to go! That’s it. It’s so fast!

Once the machine has reached the desired temperature, prep your fabric by placing it onto the ironing board and pushing it into place.

Press the R button to start the heating process. The heating plate will automatically lower and apply heat and pressure to the fabric for the selected time.

When the time is up, it will automatically raise up so you can pull out the ironing board and move on to the next step.

Now, place your design in the desired location on your fabric, put the Teflon sheet over the design, push the ironing board back in, and press the R button to start. When the time’s up, your design is finished! 🎉

I think one of the best features of the HTV-RONT Auto Heat Press machine is its automatic lifting function. After the timer has finished, the machine will automatically lift, allowing you to remove your design without having to worry about burning yourself.

This feature is especially helpful when working on large projects with multiple colors of vinyl that require several transfers.

Here are a few things I love about the HTV-RONT Auto Heat Press Machine and only a couple of things I don’t like so much:

THINGS I LOVE

  • Easy to use: The machine is straightforward and super simple to use, with a user-friendly interface that is suitable for beginners and professionals alike. It’s big and intimidating but there is literally NO learning curve with this. You plug it in and you’re ready to go!

  • Auto pressure adjustment: The machine comes with auto pressure adjustments that adjust the pressure according to the fabric/material you’re using.

  • Time-saving: The large 15” x 15” heating area of the machine saves time when working on large projects. It can seem endless standing there pressing down the smaller heat press machines multiple times for each design. This makes it so much easier, one press and the entire design is pressed!

  • Versatility: The machine can be used to transfer designs onto a wide range of fabrics and materials, including cotton, polyester, and even wood.

  • Safety: The automatic lifting function of the machine provides an added layer of safety, reducing the risk of burns when removing the designs.

THINGS I DON’T

Basically, this Auto Heat Press is amazing but there are two things I should mention that aren’t so great. However, these things are not SO bad that they would stop me from buying it, I really love EVERYTHING about it.

  • Size and weight: The machine is relatively large and heavy, which can make it difficult to move around and/or store. The machine measures 13” x 17” x 22” high and weighs about 38-40 pounds. My goal is to find a permanent home for this machine where I can plug it in easily and use it in the same place that I’m storing it.

I’m thinking I will get a thick piece of wood for my metal (adjustable) shelves and keep it there but I haven’t made any final decisions yet as it might be too heavy.

  • Cost: The machine is a bit expensive but it’s definitely worth the investment especially if you make a lot of heat transfer vinyl projects or sublimation projects.

Here are a few more supplies you might need to get started with HTV (heat transfer vinyl)… and a few fun extras 😊

Here’s a look at some of the things I made over the last couple of weeks.

First, my daughter and her family were going to Disney World this week for my Little Man’s 5th birthday and I wanted to make them a bunch of fun things to take on their trip. So they each got a blanket and “my first trip to Disney” t-shirts. The book is not HTV. It is just regular vinyl but it was so cute I wanted to include it in the picture 😊

Then I made the “birthday boy” shirt for my grandson. It was a free SVG I found online. They’re everywhere, just google image search whatever you’re looking for and I bet hundreds of ideas pop up.

This shirt used three different colors of vinyl, black, red, and white so it took three heat presses. This is where you really need the Teflon Sheets to protect the rest of the design and your heat press iron.

First, I pressed the black like normal, then layered the red hat and word “boy” on top and pressed it again. Finally, I layered the white star on the hat and pressed it a third time. If you look closely you can see the outline of the black mouse head under the red cap.

I think it came out super cute and he wore it to the Magic Kindom on the day of his birthday. ❤️

My Nana had a few plain shirts she wanted me to put something on so I made her the sunflower, ciao bella, and the “Yaya” shirt because the baby calls her Yaya instead of Nana.

I also made a few tote bags and pen pouches to add back to my Etsy shop so watch for that in the next couple of weeks if you’re interested.

In all, I used fleece blankets, canvas tote bags, 100% cotton shirts, and cotton/poly blend shirts, and everything I made turned out really great. I think they’re better than anything I’ve made with my smaller 9” x 9” hand-held press.

Overall, I think the HTV-RONT Auto Heat Press machine is an excellent investment for anyone who wants to take their crafting game to the next level. Its ease of use, automatic lifting function, and temperature control make it a top choice among crafters.

Whether you're a beginner or a seasoned professional, this machine is sure to provide you with high-quality transfers every time!
